I am trying to find any information out about 3 Erskine Road. NW3. I have just come across an old identity card which was my Grandmothers, dated 1946 , this being where she then lived. If anyone can give me any information about this area then, or old photographs, that would be really good.

Big screen back at Talacre Gardens for weekend games

It’s been a truly marvellous World Cup – so despite England’s exit, Camden is putting on a big screen event for both Saturday’s play-off match and Sunday’s final.

Once again at Talacre Gardens, the big screen will show England’s third/fourth place game against Belgium on Saturday (3pm kick off) and then the World Cup final, France vs Croatia, on Sunday (4pm kick off). Unlike England’s semi-final there will be no event at Russell Square.

It has been a World Cup where European teams have excelled – and it would be great to see Camden families of all nationalities down at Talacre, enjoying the football in the sunny weather, celebrating our links with the continent.

Councillor Georgia Gould, Leader of Camden Council, said: “

Regent's Park

Regent's Park - not the park itself but the tube station.

Regent's Park tube station is a London Underground station near to Regent's Park, located on Marylebone Road between the two arms of Park Crescent.

The station was opened on 10 March 1906 by the Baker Street & Waterloo Railway (BS&WR); In the original parliamentary authority for the construction of the BS&WR no station was allowed at Regent's Park. Permission was granted to add it to the already partially constructed line in 1904.

Because of this same rule and unlike most of the BS&WR's other stations, Regent's Park has no surface buildings and is accessed from a subway.

The station is served by lifts - there is also a staircase which can be used and which has 96 steps.

Great Portland Street station is within easy walking distance for interchanges to the Circle and Metropolitan lines.

Camden Town (1920):   Camden Town was named after Charles Pratt, the first Earl Camden, who started its development in 1791. It began life as little more than a handful of buildings beside a main road. Camden Town’s expansion as a major centre came with the opening of the Regent’s Canal to traffic in 1820
