I am trying to find any information out about 3 Erskine Road. NW3. I have just come across an old identity card which was my Grandmothers, dated 1946 , this being where she then lived. If anyone can give me any information about this area then, or old photographs, that would be really good.

I lived at 2 Rudall Crescent until myself and my family moved out in 1999. I once met a lady in a art fair up the road who was selling old photos of the area and was very knowledgeable about the area history, collecting photos over the years. She told me that before the current houses were built, there was a large manor house , enclosed by a large area of land. She told me there had been a fire there. Im trying to piece together the story and find out what was on the land before the crescent was built. This website is very interesting.

Camden groups helping to improve local air quality
As part of Camden Council’s drive to improve air quality in the borough, it provided free air quality monitoring equipment to residents and community groups to help them understand air pollution in their area.

No fewer than 23 individuals and community groups monitored 47 separate sites across Camden between July 2017 and March 2018. The results, shared with project participants today, give a general insight into the state of local air. As expected, the results indicate higher concentrations of nitrogen dioxide in the central and southern parts of the borough.

You can view the data on our Open Data air quality monitoring page

Air pollution has a significant impact on public health and accounts for around 9,400 premature deaths in London each year, affecting the hea

There are a number of ways to have your say before the end of August. Fun for all ages at Agar Grove
Starting the summer holidays on the perfect note, families from Agar Grove shared in food, fun and friendship, making the most of the sunshine as a community.

With World Cup fever still gripping the estate, residents took part in an inflatable penalty shootout, bringing the game home to Agar Grove – even if Russia 2018 wasn’t to be. Children also got the chance to get messy, painting murals and getting creative with crafts between BBQs and ice cream.

The fun day, organised in collaboration with contractors Hill, celebrates the completion of phase 1a of the Agar Grove Estate redevelopment.

Agar Grove is the largest project in Camden’s Community Investment Programme, delivering 216 council homes and 37 at affordable Camden Living Rents. At the event, residents were able to see picture

Hampstead Heath

Hampstead Heath railway station has been part of the London Overground since 11 November 2007.

In the nineteenth century up to 100,000 people per day used the station at weekends and on public holidays as the Heath was a popular holiday destination for Londoners. The station was rebuilt, after Second World War bomb damage, and in the 1990s in conjunction with works to allow Eurostar trains to use the North London Line.

John Rocque Map of Hampstead (1762).
John Rocque (c. 1709–1762) was a surveyor, cartographer, engraver, map-seller and the son of Huguenot émigrés. Roque is now mainly remembered for his maps of London. This map dates from the second edition produced in 1762. London and his other maps brought him an appointment as cartographer to the Prince of Wales in 1751. His widow continued the business after his death. The map of Hampstead covers an area stretching from the edge in the northwest of present-day Dollis Hill to Islington in the southeast.
