Today Camden Council and its partners released designs for three new and improved green spaces in the heart of London: Princes Circus in Holborn, and Alfred Place and Whitfield Gardens off Tottenham Court Road.

These new and renewed public spaces form part of the West End Project, the biggest Camden council-led transport scheme the borough has ever seen. The West End Project will address poor air quality, traffic congestion, and road safety.
There are a number of ways to have your say before the end of August. You can see the plans and meet the designers at a series of roadshows taking place at:Whitfield Gardens: 24 July, 9.30am to 1.00pmAlfred Place: 24 July, 2.00pm to 5.30pmPrinces Circus: 25 July, 11.30am to 3.00pmYou can also view the plans and listen to a presentation from the designers at the following two events, being held on Monda

Fun for all ages at Agar Grove
Starting the summer holidays on the perfect note, families from Agar Grove shared in food, fun and friendship, making the most of the sunshine as a community.

With World Cup fever still gripping the estate, residents took part in an inflatable penalty shootout, bringing the game home to Agar Grove – even if Russia 2018 wasn’t to be. Children also got the chance to get messy, painting murals and getting creative with crafts between BBQs and ice cream.

The fun day, organised in collaboration with contractors Hill, celebrates the completion of phase 1a of the Agar Grove Estate redevelopment.

Agar Grove is the largest project in Camden’s Community Investment Programme, delivering 216 council homes and 37 at affordable Camden Living Rents. At the event, residents were able to see picture

John Rocque Map of Hampstead (1762).
John Rocque (c. 1709–1762) was a surveyor, cartographer, engraver, map-seller and the son of Huguenot émigrés. Roque is now mainly remembered for his maps of London. This map dates from the second edition produced in 1762. London and his other maps brought him an appointment as cartographer to the Prince of Wales in 1751. His widow continued the business after his death. The map of Hampstead covers an area stretching from the edge in the northwest of present-day Dollis Hill to Islington in the southeast.
