Zoffany Street is the last street, alphabetically, in London.

It was named after Johann Zoffany (1733-1810) a painter born in Regensburg, Germany.

Zoffany first migrated to England in 1758 and remained until 1772 often in most penurious circumstances, but was elected to the Royal Academy of Arts in 1769.

He returned to England from 1779 to 1783 when he went to India but returned to England in 1790 and lived at Strand-on-the-Green in his later years and is buried in Kew churchyard.

Lay off Harry Kane... he's a national treasure! Mark Noble defends misfiring Tottenham and England star
I’d like to talk about Harry Kane. I know all about our rivalry with Tottenham and, yes, it’s extra special when we beat them, but I think it’s ludicrous the amount of criticism he’s getting recently.

John Rocque Map of Hampstead (1762).
John Rocque (c. 1709–1762) was a surveyor, cartographer, engraver, map-seller and the son of Huguenot émigrés. Roque is now mainly remembered for his maps of London. This map dates from the second edition produced in 1762. London and his other maps brought him an appointment as cartographer to the Prince of Wales in 1751. His widow continued the business after his death. The map of Hampstead covers an area stretching from the edge in the northwest of present-day Dollis Hill to Islington in the southeast.
