The Three Blackbirds on Blendon Road, Bexley was first licensed in 1717.

The pub was part of the Blendon Hall estate but a fire gutted it in 1890. Rebuilt after the fire, the estate owners sold the premises in 1921. The brewing company Charrington bought the freehold twenty years later. The pub flourished and the owners built a further extension to the premises in 1983.
