Slipper’s Place, SE16
Slipper’s Place, Rotherhithe (1958)
Situated between Southwark Park and Southwark Park Road, this terrace was built c1850 on ground particularly unsuited to building, as the area had previously been a series of ditches and islands that fed into a mill stream.
The site was cleared and new flats erected shortly after this photograph was taken.
