Northumberland House is a residential block built on the site of a nursing home.
In 1954 Northumberland House moved to Ballards Lane from Finsbury Park in 1954.
The new premises, Glenwathen, a large house built in the 1890s, had previously been a nursing home. The 30 bed property was renamed the Northumberland House Mental Nursing Home.
The home closed in 1977 and the residential Northumberland House went up in its place.
