Parkhill Road was Park Road until 1897.
In 1851 William Lund proposed a high class district to be known as the St John’s Park Estate on Belsize Estate land to the west of Haverstock Hill.
Existing field boundaries were used to lay out the curved lines of Parkhill Road, Upper Park and Lawn Roads.
