Pollard Road was a project of the National Land Corporation.
Myddelton Park, a cul-de-sac from Oakleigh Road opposite Oakleigh Park South, was built by John Miles before 1882. In 1903 the whole of the estate between Friern Barnet Lane and Oakleigh Road was acquired by the National Land Corporation which planned freehold houses for prosperous commuters in Loring Road, Pollard Road and Queens Avenue.
While Pollard Road was projected in 1905, but there were only 50 or so houses by 1920.
