Tabernacle Street, EC2A
Shoreditch High Street roundel
Tabernacle Street was where George Whitefield’s ’Tabernacle’ was built by his supporters after he separated from Wesley in 1741.

In 1567 this was the site of a meadow, home to three windmills and known as Windmill Hill.

After it was laid out, Tabernacle Street was also known as Tabernacle Walk.
