Just off Uxbridge High Street is Windsor Street, a short road populated by older shops.

Windsor Street was the road leading to Windsor during Victorian times. It is also the home to St Margaret’s Church. The building of the church began in 1245 during the reign of Henry III and was completed during the War of the Roses. It was built at the junction of the two roads in order to serve the growing population of Uxbridge.

The church is well known for its beautiful hammer beam roof and is the oldest building in Uxbridge.
