Grenfell Road follows the line of an old road: St Clement’s Road.
St. Clement’s Church - which still exists - was constructed in 1867 by J. P. St Aubyn and is an unusual example of a picturesque Anglo-Catholic church.
Grenfell Road is a post-war road but its origins lie in the year 1870.
