Heathfield Street was a side turning off of Portland Road.
Heathfield Street existed between the 1850s and the 1970s. Its final incarnation as a deserted, soon-to-be-demolished street was in the 1968 episode of Dr Who called ’The Invasion’.
Heathfield Street provided access to warehouses that used to exist on Walmer Road, but when they were replaced with new housing the road became redundant. It was later a private car-park and garden for flat residents in Portland Road.
