Green Street is the modern name for the road which runs through the area, north to south, and which connects Borehamwood with Shenley.
The road forms the northern extension of a thoroughfare which is called Shenley Road in Borehamwood itself, then Cowley Hill and finally Green Street before it reaches Shenley village.
