Ramillies Street, which was previously known as Blenheim Street before 1885, was situated at a lower level than Oxford Street.
Blenheim Street (Ramillies Street) was probably finished around 1710.
At its northern end, it terminated with a stairway that was once called Blenheim Steps.
At the opposite end of the block, you can find the narrow Hills Place, also sometimes referred to as Hill’s Place. It was originally named Queen Street until 1866. This street only connects with Ramillies Place (formerly Marlborough Mews) at the rear, effectively making it a cul-de-sac.
