The easternmost section of Seven Sisters Road runs through South Tottenham.
In 1833, Seven Sisters Road was laid out in 1833 from Holloway (at the Nags Head crossroads) to Tottenham. It was constructed in 1833 by the Metropolitan Turnpike Trust.
The Seven Sisters, to which the road heads, were a circle of seven elm trees at the southern end of Tottenham High Road.
