Perronet House is an 11-storey residential council tower block adjacent to the northern roundabout of the Elephant and Castle.
In 1969, Sir Roger Walters received a commission from the Greater London Council to create a high-density block of social housing that would complement the existing high-rise structures dedicated to commercial, educational, and governmental purposes in the Elephant and Castle Comprehensive Development Area. This development was situated on what was then referred to as Site 4. The construction of the building concluded in May 1970 and garnered a commendation in the 1971 Good Design in Housing awards.
