The Trocadero Cinema was situated at the Elephant & Castle end of the New Kent Road.
Built as a vast Super Cinema with stage facilities, it opened on Monday 22 December 1930.
The Theatre was designed by the architect George Coles for the Hyams Brothers. The Trocadero had a vast capacity of 3500 and the largest Wurlitzer Organ to have been so far shipped to Europe.
It was demolished as part of local redevelopment in 1963.
