Upper Norwood is an area of south London, spread over the London Boroughs of Bromley, Croydon, Lambeth and Southwark. The eastern part is better known as Crystal Palace.
Most housing in Upper Norwood dates from the 19th and 20th centuries, with large detached properties along the clay ridge known as Beulah Hill and smaller, semi-detached and terraced dwellings on the slopes. There are some more modern areas of social housing that date from the 1970s.
The hill offers panoramic views northward to central London and south to Croydon and the North Downs.
This website does not sell maps. Instead it offers a subscription service via Substack. Paid Substack subscribers can get old maps/satellite views in printable A2 PDF format. Though we will not be printing or framing ourselves, you'll be able to take your map to your local print shop/picture framer and let them produce the magic. |
