St Stephen’s Road, E17

St Stephen’s Road was originally called East Street.

It had been called East Street until 1879 as opposed to West Street. The two formed a bifurcation at the end of Wingfield Road.

An aim of the Underground Map project is to find the location every street in London, whether past or present, and tell its story.
