Avenue Road tramstop looking east (2009). Tramlink uses the former southern track of the main line route between Crystal Palace and Beckenham Junction. Avenue Road was provided with two platforms, unlike its immediate neighbours Beckenham Road and Birkbeck which have bi-directional platforms. There is no station here on the main line, the only intermediate station being Birkbeck.
