Campbell Road a.k.a. “The Bunk” in Finsbury Park (1919)
Described as the most dangerous London road in the early 1900s, most of the houses were originally built in the mid 19th century for the expected arrival of the middle classes.
Instead the migration from the countryside as farming jobs disappeared soon filled these properties with sometimes 16 mixed families per house.
Most of the area was pulled down to build the Andover Estate in the 1950s.
