Falkland Place once led to the Assembly House pub.

Falkland Place, first recorded in 1721, was at first called Assembly Row.

On the east side of Falkland Place, there once stood a farmhouse. Near the end of the path, there is a dark red brick wall, which is a remnant of a substantial cottage that previously occupied the site.
