Goldbeaters Farm in 1877 The farm was demolished in 1928 to make way for the Watling Estate. It stood where Goldbeaters Grove stands today. The larger London Aerodrome (Hendon Aerodrome) was largely a project of air pioneer Claude Grahame-White from 1908 onwards. It later became RAF Hendon before closing in the 1950s. The area became Grahame Park. Stag Lane Aerodrome was a private aerodrome between 1915 and 1933, later sold for housing development.
