Ebury Bridge Road used to lead to Ebury Bridge which spanned the Grosvenor Canal.
For a while in the mid 19th century it was called Commercial Road and it skirted the Chelsea Barracks - now a redevelopment site,
The road, when laid out, originally lay next to the Westbourne as it turned a corner on its way to the River Thames.
