George Yard is a yard off of Lombard Street.

Later the courtyard of Barclay Bank HQ, it was at first an ordinary house that was converted into a public house called ‘The George’. This was destroyed in the great fire of 1666, becoming George Yard, probably after John George, local 18th century glazier and builder
