Clerkenwell Green and St James’ Church
Credit: Nevilley
Peter’s Lane is named after the church which once stood close to the Cross Keys tavern.

Listed in Stow’s Survey as St Peter’s Lane, today a modern office block stands here.

Opposite the lane is the old site of Hicks Hall, the old sessions house built by Sir Baptist Hicks in the seventeenth century.
