The Clarence
Carlton House Terrace
The Clarence is located diagonally opposite the Ritz.

The Clarence was licensed in 1724 as the Coach & Horses. It takes its current name from the Duke of Clarence – better known as King William IV - who came to the throne in 1830.

It was rebuilt in 1892, 1953 and underwent a further refurbishment in 2012, with a quieter upstairs bar.
