Earls Court Road is the high street of the Earl’s Court area.
Dating from the time of the manor of Courtfield - later Earl’s Court - it connected the manor house with Kensington.
It was until the nineteenth century known as Earl’s Court Lane. Sometime during the twentieth century the road lost its apostrophe.
