At the corner of Clerkenwell Road and Goswell Road sits the Hat and Feathers pub.

The Hat and Feathers was built on the site of an earlier tavern around 1860 for owner James Leask. It was designed by William Finch Hill who specialised in music halls and pubs.

Described as "gay without being crude", the facade is curved to reflect the building’s corner location.

The Hat and Feathers closed in 1990, reopened in 2006 before shutting down again in 2011.

It was announced in 2019 that the area around the pub would be rebuilt as a hotel with over 150 rooms. The Hat and Feathers building was to be incorporated into the hotel space, reviving the Grade II-listed pub.
