Cain’s Farm existed from 1819 when its land was assigned to Isaac Cane as freehold.

As well as farm buildingst= there was an area of small walled enclosures.

By the early 1900s Charles Glenie lived at Cain’s Farm, keeping a dairy herd of some 20 cows.

By the early 1930s, a Mrs Waddell lived at the farm.
