Attleborough Court, SE23

Painted in March 2018, the Forest Hill mural was organised and crowdfunded by local community group SE23.life.

Its walrus detail is a nod to the local Horniman Museum, which features a notable Victorian taxidermy walrus.

Attleborough Court is one of three blocks of flats on the Sydenham Hill Estate.

Each block was named after particular Abbots of Bermondsey Abbey, lord of the manor of Dulwich between 1127 and 1538. Attleborough Court was named after John Attleborough, Bromleigh Court after John Bromleigh and Dunton Court after Richard Dunton.
