King’s Cross St Pancras to Angel walk

This walk follows the Pentonville Road. Find the Scala Theatre.

Keystone Crescent, btw, is just up the Caledonian Road.

Walk along the Pentonville Road.

Go briefly beyond Weston Rise to Joseph Grimaldo Park. Find his statue and then backtrack.

The Weston Rise Air Shaft is on the corner of Weston Rise. Briefly foray down here until Vernon Rise on the right to find Percy Circus. You can also use Penton Rise to get to the same spot.

The Circus itself exudes a slightly weathered charm, with one corner featuring a modern and somewhat uninspiring section of social housing.

Along Prideaux Place and then left into Lloyd Square. Lloyd Square has houses dating from 1820-1830, each featuring a distinctive pediment in lieu of a third storey. A private garden occupies the centre of the square, providing excellent views downhill toward the BT Tower.

Continue east along River Street.

Myddelton Square was constructed between 1826-1828, with the addition of the church of St. Mark the Evangelist in 1827 at a cost of £16,000. The Georgian terraces surrounding the central green are quite impressive.

North into Mylne Street. Check out Claremont Close before we reach Claremont Square.

Right along Pentonville until the Angel.
