Northern Line

The Northern Line is an amalgam of a few original London Underground lines. It is coloured black on the map.

Mug update

Our designer has been busy and recently took a diversion to take a look at the Northern Heights schemes. Hence we now have a set of mugs depicting the stations on the Bushey Heath, Finsbury Park and Alexandra Palace pre-war proposed branches of the Northern Line.

Naturally this doesn’t preclude all of the mugs created for existing stations on the Northern and other lines in the complete TUM collection.

Northern Heights

The Northern Heights scheme would have extended a line from Mill Hill East to Bushey Heath via Edgware and Elstree. Click on a mug for a better view but note that Edgware and Mill Hill East are also available in their present day configurations too.

Alexandra Palace branch

There was a short-lived plan to extend the Northern Line to Ally Pally. This would have given Muswell Hill, a notorious North London tube desert a station. Click on the picture to see the mug…

Finsbury Park branch

In pre-war plans, the Northern Line would have crossed London to Finsbury Park. Click on a mug for a better view but note that Finsbury Park is also available in current-day configuration.

High Barnet branch

The Northern Line stretches north on a branch from Camden Town to High Barnet

And the rest…

There’s a mug for every stop on the Northern Line – not only current stations but former stations and stations yet-to-come. All available on the TUM store
