The splendid structure standing in the middle of the road is a public urinal.

The spire of All Saints Church can just be seen above the trees on the left.

For this view the photographer is actually standing in Picardy Road looking across
the crossroads into Bexley Road.

The main road is Woolwich Road, being the main route from Woolwich to Erith.
