Bow Church is a Docklands Light Railway (DLR) station in Bow etween Devons Road and Pudding Mill Lane stations
Bow Church station opened with the original system on 31 August 1987. It takes its name from the nearby 14th century Bow Church.
It is within walking distance via Bow Road with Bow Road station on London Underground’s District and Hammersmith and City lines. The two Bow stations are classed as a single station for ticketing purposes as well as on tube maps but both managed separately.
The Underground Map project is creating street histories for the areas of London and surrounding counties lying within the M25.
The aim of the project is to find the location every street in London, whether past or present, and tell its story. This project aims to be a service to historians, genealogists and those with an interest in urban design.
The website features a series of maps from the 1750s until the 1950s. You can see how London grows over the decades. |
