The Six Elms was located a short distance from what is now the junction of Old Oak Common Lane and Brunel Road.

The northern part of the parish of Acton and much of Old Oak Common was heavily wooded in the Middle Ages. Oaks and elms survived in hedgerows and along lanes into the twentieth century. The Six Elms pub may have got its name from this.

The site was buried under the tracks of the Central Line.
