Doddington Grove was renamed as Doddington Road in 1937.

Doddington Road was formerly called Doddington Grove and was built in 1848, originally as Victoria Place.

Its developer, Henry Hart Davis, was born at Dodington (with one D) in Somerset around 1807. He went bankrupt in 1850.

The road’s history ended in 1958 when the Doddington Estate was built.
