According to a London County Council guide of 1912, the name was changed from Hauberk Street in 1911.

It was approved as Hauberk Road and never actually known as Hauberk Street.

A hauberk is a knee-length coat of chain mail used in medieval times.

Severus Road is very near to Clapham Junction station. In a tweet during May 2020 JK Rowling confirmed that just round the corner, in a flat on Northcote Road, the idea for the Harry Potter series of novels was concieved.

Shops on Falcon Road, Battersea (1928) "The streets were always so clean in the old days". Most likely this is a Sunday after mid day. The shops are closed but, the pub is open with a seafood stall outside. The debris is from a morning market and will be cleaned up early Monday morning - no street cleaning on a Sunday in those days..
