The Watford Way junction with Great North Way (1927) The photo shows the area still as fields; within ten years this view would be dominated by houses. The site is known today as Fiveways Corner, Mill Hill and the M1 flyover runs through the scene.

Featherstone Farm (1909) Featherstone Farm was situated south of Bunns Lane in Mill Hill, opposite the also-former Copthall Park. Featherstone Farm hosted a shop and was later used by Sunny Smile Limited, toy makers in the 1930s. The farm lasted until 1929 and both the farmlands and Copthall Park - a country estate - were built over

Hendon Aerodrome looking ENE from the Colindale area. The road at the bottom right is modern Booth Road. The larger buildings at the far side of the airfield are in front of what’s now Fiveways. The A41 Hendon Way skirts the airfield and the road going southeastwards away from Fiveways is the A1. Between the A1 and A41 you can see the line of the first road to the south - Westside.
