Great Field is a cul-de-sac leading from Clayton Field.
Before Great Field came into being, the immediate area of the aerodrome had been featured in the 1967 film ’The Dirty Dozen’. Additionally the first official UK internal air mail was sent in September 1911 from the airfield.
