An unusual trolley bus - other examples in London had a twin rear axle in order to cope with a 70 passenger load.

Trams provided a crucial rolein the development of the area, providing and efficient link with places of employment in Woolwich and Erith.

Bexley’s tram lines date from 1905 but trams were replaced by trolley buses (and a new depot on Erith Road, seen here during construction) in 1935.
