Jersey Road, E16

Jersey Road originally ran to Freemason’s Road. Only the eastern section remains.

Jersey Road was hit by a V1 on its western section. All of the terraced housing on Jersey Road was demolished in the early 1950s. The area was rebuilt with modern housing around 1967. Subsequently, the road was renamed Sark Walk. Oyster Catchers Walk and Hume Terrace also date from this time.
