Neville Close is a modern cul-de-sac off Acton Lane.
In the mid-1600s, Sir John Trevor acquired many properties in Acton, including Berrymead, which likely became his residence. He enhanced the estate by adding a lake and stream. Berrymead later gained renown for its impressive grounds. In the late 17th century, it became the home of the Marquesses of Halifax, and subsequently, the Duke of Kingston took up residence there.
Neville Close, much later, was built over the site of Berrymead.
