Willow Avenue, UB9

Willow Avenue was the location of the 1836 ‘Kingsmill’ building.

The flourmill here included industrial storage and a 10 storey silo buildings. It was owned by a Mr King who called it "Kingsmill" after himself.

This is a now a major bread brand name although, since the mill closed in 2001, the flour is milled elsewhere.
