Sanderson Road serves an industrial estate.
Arthur Sanderson established his wallpaper company in 1860, initially located in Soho Square. In 1865, he relocated the firm to Berners Street (Soho), and he also established a factory in Chiswick.
Later, in 1921, a new factory was established in Uxbridge specifically for the production of printed fabrics. In 1950, Sanderson expanded its Uxbridge factory by adding a new extension. In 1960, the company celebrated its centenary by further enlarging and extending the factory.
The printing process continued to operate from this 100-acre location until December 1999.
