Sandy’s Street disappeared when Middlesex Street was extended in the 1890s.
The Dictionary of London (1918) reports that Sandy’s Street was built in 1727 - it was labelled Sandy Street on Rocque’s map of 1746.
It was formerly more extensive and occupied the line of Windsor Street as well.
It was demolished for the extension of Middlesex Street into Bishopsgate, in connection with the widening of Sandy’s Row between 1889 and 1896.
