In 1939, Chapel Street briefly became Chapel Lane.

Chapel Street was very badly damaged and redeveloped as part of the Barbican Centre.

It ran off the east side of Whitecross Street to Milton Street.

In 1939, Chapel Street briefly became Chapel Lane.
